Andras J Bality
Born: 1965, Richmond, VA
A painting fills an empty space, putting something where there was not anything before. I want that ‘something’ to be beautiful, and to offer more than the sum of its parts. I would like the viewer to feel good, positive, to shed light on, and clarify the mystery of life. Art is the great egalitarian. My work aims to be universal; it's for everyone, no one gets left out. Finally, I want the artwork to have a bit of magic, to cast a spell so the viewer can intuit its unspoken subtle beauty, as if through telepathy or allurement can be sensed, what I wanted to convey.
