Berto is an American artist living and working in Santa Monica, California. His paintings are a vibrant and soulful exploration of spiritual and nature-based themes. With richly colored layers of mixed media, Berto creates artwork that hovers between abstract and representational.
Describing his artistic process, he says, " I just pick up on good energy and push it into the world. As far as the creative process goes,I am constantly reinventing myself, so I cannot do the same thing repreatedly. What I love about painting is it's a solo pursuit. It's also a romance. Sometimes you struggle. Sometimes it's easy. Creating visual beauty is therapy for me, and I hope my art causes viewers to feel good and grounded."
Berto's show will be on view at TEW Galleries from September 8-October 8, 2023.
